The Republican Festival of National Cultures is a holiday of folklore colors, which unites everyone with a noble idea of goodness and peace, an ardent desire to share the treasures of national art, again and again to touch its most intimate sources.
The Festival of National Cultures is traditionally an event that unites all national minorities living in Belarus, contributes to the preservation of national identity and, at the same time, mutual understanding and mutual enrichment of cultures. Every year the holiday surprises with its wealth, diversity, originality, discoveries and new finds.
The Festival of National Cultures in Grodno takes place once every two years, since 1996, and is an example
unity of people of different nationalities, confirms the importance of spiritual and moral values, opens up new opportunities for cultural dialogue, teaches the young generation to respect national origins and preserve precious heritage.
During the days of the festival, the streets of the city are festive and crowded. Concert venues, national farmsteads with traditional rituals and national cuisine, exhibitions of folk craftsmen are hospitably invited, melodies of different nations sound, replaced by colorful choreographic compositions, sometimes free-for-all, sometimes fiery-sparkling, but always eternal in their beauty and originality. There is a deep meaning in this: through the art of different nationalities, we become familiar with folk wisdom, spiritually enrich ourselves and perceive the artistic traditions of different nations.
The Grodno region always opens its doors wide for guests, once again convincingly showing that we are a single whole - the Belarusian people, no matter what nation we belong to.
