The 1st Republican Festival of National Cultures laid the foundation for the purposeful development of the cultures of the national associations of Belarus. For the first time, Belarusians at such a thorough level got acquainted with the diversity, inflorescence of national cultures - songs, dances, music, examples of national applied art, national traditions and national cuisines - what determines the culture of each nationality.

11 national-cultural associations - Koreans, Tatars, Germans, Jews, Ukrainians, Poles, Armenians, Russians, Azerbaijanis, Moldovans and Lithuanians - took part in the I Republican Festival of National Cultures. The holiday, which ended with a multinational action in Grodno, became an incentive for the further development of the cultures of these and other national communities.
