SCHOOL YEAR
II SCHOOL FESTIVAL "WE UNITES GRODNO"
The final event of the week of the museum was the II school festival "We are united by Grodno", dedicated to the International Day of Museums and the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Grodno region. The students of the festival took part in a quest game that consisted of 4 stations:
1. Friendship of peoples (according to the description and national characteristics, it was necessary to name the nationality)
2. Small homeland (from the photographs name the place where this sculpture is located)
3. 75th anniversary of the Grodno region (game "Believe / don't believe")
4. Museum Day (find a place for “lost” exhibits)
At the end of the quest, it was necessary to add a picture of the Lida Castle.
During the festival, students were awarded diplomas for participating in contests and quizzes that took place during the week.
In the drawing competition “My Street” the winners are:
1st place - Katsyan Varvara (1 "A") and Likhorad Ulyana (1 "A")
2nd place - Semak Albina (4 "A")
3rd place - Apunik Marta (3 "B") and Kiseleva Polina (2 "B")
In the mini-poster competition “My Street” diplomas were awarded to:

In the photography competition “My journey through Grodno and the Grodno region” won:
1st place - Loisha Polina (2 "B") and Maluchek Mark (2 "B")
2nd place - Arseniy Baida (2 "A") and Yuryev Egor (2 "A")
3rd place - Krasnitskaya Victoria (6 "A")
Volchek Kristina (2 “A”) for her creative approach was awarded a diploma.
26 people took part in the quiz on the website of the Peoples' Friendship Museum. The winners are:

3rd place - Pochebut Ekaterina (6 “B”) and Reets Darya (6 “A”).

MEETING WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF JEWISH DIASPORA IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE MUSEUM WEEK
For 10th grade students on the basis of the school museum of Friendship of Peoples, a meeting was organized with a representative of the Jewish diaspora, director of the Grodno Jewish community house "Menorah" Elena Nikolayevna Kutsevich. Elena Nikolaevna spoke about the peculiarities of the Jews, introduced them to their traditions and rituals through symbolism. The tenth graders were able to hold the Torah Scrolls in their hands, play dreidel (spinning top), read Jewish books, and also were treated to a Jewish national dish - matzo.
EXCURSION "MUSEUM IN SUITCASE"
An excursion “Museum in a suitcase” was held for students of 1 "A" class within the framework of the museum week. During the excursion, the first graders got acquainted with the Hungarian culture through the Hungarikums - Hungarian symbols. The children were shown Hungarian exhibits, which moved from the Museum of Friendship of Peoples into a "suitcase" - a napkin with embroidery, paprika, a child in a nutshell, a bag of lavender. The students accepted the “museum in a suitcase” with pleasure.
MEETING WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF LITHUANIAN DIASPORA IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE MUSEUM WEEK
A representative of the Lithuanian diaspora, Svetlana Ivanovna Belenskaya, had a conversation with pupils of the 11th grade in the school museum of Friendship of Peoples. She talked about the peculiarities of the education of Lithuanians, taught students some Lithuanian words, showed the historical connection between Belarusians and Lithuanians. Svetlana Ivanovna advised the younger generation to think more and analyze their actions and deeds.
EXCURSION "HISTORY OF ONE EXHIBIT"
Within the framework of the week of the museum, an excursion "The History of One Exhibit" was organized for students of grades 2 "A" and 2 "B". During the excursion, the children got acquainted in more detail with the Kazakh yurt, its structure and components. It was a discovery for the children that a Kazakh yurt is assembled by 2-3 women in one hour, and there is also a separate place for items related to women's and men's work in the yurt.
Students were able to look into the Kazakh yurt, which is a valuable exhibit in the school's Museum of Friendship of Peoples.
VIDEO CHANGE
Within the framework of the museum week dedicated to the friendship of peoples, during recess, video clips were watched for the schoolchildren. Everyone could get acquainted with interesting facts about Jews, Ukrainians, Poles and Lithuanians, visit the cities of Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland in absentia, learn more about the peculiarities of each nation represented.
Republican competition "Message to the Veteran"
Loisha Polina, a student of grade 2 "B", took part in the republican competition of children's creative works "Message to a Veteran", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders, in the category "Congratulations to the Veteran".

EXCURSION FOR UNESCO REPRESENTATIVES
Within the framework of the action plan of the Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs for 2019, as well as in connection with the 30th anniversary of the organization, on April 18, a monitoring of the UNESCO Avenir club was carried out.
Chairman of the Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs Dmitry Yuryevich Subtselny and his colleagues got acquainted with the working conditions of our club. The activists and members of our club talked about the principles of work of the club "Avenir", about the brightest and most memorable events, about their future plans. Club activist Natalya Dudkovskaya conducted an excursion to the Museum of Friendship of Peoples, introduced the guests to the exhibits of the museum, the culture of the countries represented in the museum.
DIPLOMA II DEGREE
at the Republican exhibition of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical experience and creativity of student youth
The development of materials "Grodno United Us: Museum of Friendship of Peoples" (from experience), prepared by the head of the Museum of Friendship of Peoples Loisha Tatyana Viktorovna, was highly appreciated by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus in the framework of the XVIII Republican exhibition of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical experience and creativity of student youth and awarded with a Diploma of the II degree.
EXCURSION TO THE PARK OF GILIBERA
It is necessary to get to know the Motherland from your hometown. 6th grade students went on an excursion to Zhiliber's park. They got acquainted with shrubs and trees, which our school took over as patronage. The children were interested to know why the park has such a name and what work is being done to restore it.
"WE ARE SO DIFFERENT, BUT WE ARE TOGETHER"
April 2 marks the day of unification of Belarus and Russia. In connection with this event, an educational event "We are so different, but we are together" was organized for the students of the FEST association, during which the symbols of the countries, national features, peculiarities of the national costume and national cuisine, traditions and rituals of the Belarusian and Russian peoples.
DAY WITH THE MUSEUM
In the Peoples' Friendship Museum, the children of our school camp independently held a game event "We are united by Grodno" for students of the State Educational Institution "Gymnasium No. 10 of Grodno". The guests passed 9 competitive stages: a blitz poll, Grodno sights, a crossword puzzle, truth / lie, a cube with questions, a poetry competition, puzzles, the fourth "extra", riddles about the city. For each stage passed, they received a letter. From the letters the guys were able to form a patriotic expression: WE LOVE Grodno.
The participants of the event showed their ingenuity and knowledge, and the young presenters showed activity and goodwill towards the guests.
"WE ARE UNITED BY GRODNO"
The children of our school camp took part in the competition and entertainment program "We are united by Grodno" in the museum. They were able to participate in nine contests related to the history and culture of their small homeland - Grodno. The participants showed their activity, curiosity, interest, showed their knowledge and team cohesion. From the letters they received, they added “we love Grodno”, with which, of course, they agreed.
EXCURSIONS FOR GUESTS
Students of the city of Lida and guests-students of the Agricultural University from Congo visited the Museum of Friendship of Peoples. Thanks to the excursion on the topic “Belarus - a friendly family of peoples”, they got to know more deeply the peoples living on the territory of our country, saw interesting exhibits, and imbued them with the culture and spirit of this or that nation.
QUIZ ABOUT FRENCH
As part of the regional festival of Francophonie at our school, those who wish to our region took part in a quiz about the French on the website of the Museum of Friendship of Peoples.
We are glad to introduce everyone to the results of the quiz and congratulate everyone involved with an excellent knowledge of French culture.

"MARCH OF MEMORY"
Every year in Grodno, on the date of the destruction of the Grodno ghetto, a "March of Memory" is held. For the second year in a row, members of the Council of the Peoples' Friendship Museum have taken part in this ceremony. The Memory March was dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the destruction of the Grodno ghetto in 1941-1943. Members of the Museum Council walked along the streets of Grodno (from the Zamkova synagogue to the Choral synagogue). The synagogue hosted the opening of the exhibition "At the behest of the heart", prepared by the Yadvash Museum (Jerusalem) with the support of the United Nations Development Fund
The purpose of this event is to honor the victims of the Jews of Grodno during the Second World War.
VISITING ST.PATRIK
On the eve of the Irish holiday of St. Patrick's Day, students in grade 6 "B" got acquainted with the history of the holiday, its attributes, symbols and features. Interesting and informative turned out to be the legend about St. Patrick, who is the patron saint of Ireland, brought writing to Ireland, expelled all the snakes from the island, explained to the pagans the doctrine of the Trinity using the example of a clover leaf (God is one in three persons, like three leaves growing from one stem ).
At the Peoples' Friendship Museum, students were even able to try on St. Patrick's hat.
STEP 12. BELARUS - A FRIENDLY FAMILY OF PEOPLES
During February, the students of the 2nd "B" class took part in the project "12 steps to become a little patriot". The last step was to visit the school museum of Friendship of Peoples. The expositions of the museum gave an opportunity to get acquainted with the peoples inhabiting our country. Students were able to touch the museum exhibits and hold them in their hands.
STUDIO OF PEDAGOGICAL SKILLS
On the basis of the museum, a studio of pedagogical skills was organized as part of the month of methodological skills "Panorama of effective experience: from teacher to teacher", conducted by the school of effective pedagogical experience. Teachers of the I and the highest category shared their experience in using play forms in chemistry and physics lessons, the formation of positive motivation in the lessons of the Belarusian language and literature, showed different approaches to teaching Russian at the basic and advanced levels, introduced them to the linguocultural approach, and also talked about active assessment as a factor in successful learning.
KARAOKE-BATTLE
At the museum, grade 10 students took part in a karaoke battle. They performed Belarusian folk songs ("Kupalinka", "Rechanka", "Ruzha Kvetka"). A friendly and warm atmosphere reigned during the event. Friendship won.
VICTORY
Alexandra Splender, a member of the FEST Association, which operates at the Museum of Friendship of Peoples, won the second degree of the International Local History Competition "Beauty of the Native Land".
Alexandra took part in the nomination "National cuisine" with the work "Potato - the second bread of Belarusians."
"PALM OF HEALTH"
Doctor-valeologist of the department of public health of the Grodno regional CGEOZ E.V. Romanchuk for students of grades 2-4 in the Museum of Friendship of Peoples was held an informational and practical lesson "The palms of health." Healthy advice, watching preventive videos, the game "I choose ..." - everything was interesting for the guys. But the most informative exercise was the “Wall of Health”. The guys, one after another, brick by brick, laid out the "Wall of health", choosing positive habits and putting aside negative ones.
"STOPS OF HRODNO"
The Museum of Friendship of Peoples became one of the stops ("Museum") for students of grades 1-4 as part of the subject week of primary school. 5 postcards with tasks were prepared for the participating teams:

COGNITIVE GAME "MY GRODNO"
First-graders (1 "B" grade) became young visitors of the school museum of Friendship of Peoples. As part of the Year of the Little Homeland, an educational game "My Grodno" was held for them. The guys went on a virtual trip to our hometown of Grodno. They saw familiar streets, parks, and architectural monuments. Children actively answered questions and took part in the quiz "Where is it?"
NEW EXCURSIONS
Within the framework of the subject week of elementary school, timed to coincide with the Year of the Little Homeland, pupils of grades 1 "A" and 2 "A" visited the school's Museum of Friendship of Peoples. They set off on a journey to the peoples of their small homeland. Little visitors were interested in everything: why are there so many ribbons in the Ukrainian wreath? Why is there a Lithuanian bell in the shape of an angel? Why is St. Patrick's Irish hat green? They received answers to all their questions. Second-graders gladly took part in the quiz "Multinational Grodno" and received a sweet gift with a wish.
EXCURSION FOR TEACHERS OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY
The Peoples' Friendship Museum was visited by teachers of chemistry and biology of the Leninsky district of Grodno. Young guides gave them an excursion on the theme “Belarus - a nation that unites”. During the meeting, the visitors got acquainted with Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, French, German, Jewish and other exhibits; the exposition “We are united by Grodno”, dedicated to the Republican Festival of National Cultures, aroused interest.
PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The international scientific-practical conference "Education - Creativity - Innovations" was held in Minsk and was organized by the International House of Arts. The conference was attended by Loisha Tatyana Viktorovna, head of the school museum of Friendship of Peoples. She spoke with the topic "Realization of the Inavatsynai Dzeinastsi for the Work of the Schoolboy of the Museum and the Virtual Site of the Museum of Friendship of the People".
CHRISTMAS - WINTER HOLIDAYS
Pupils of 6th grades were invited to the school museum for the event "Christmas - winter holidays". An important condition was the New Year's attribute (mask, hat, etc.). During the meeting, the participants guessed, took part in Christmas contests, made greeting cards with their own hands, which were later exchanged.
At the end of Christmas, sixth-graders received sweet treats.
NEW YEAR AT THE MUSEUM
Members of the Museum Council celebrated the New Year within the walls of the museum. The guys presented the Polish, Ukrainian, French, German and Jewish New Years. They told about the peculiarities and traditions of this holiday, took part in contests and a joint photo session, made a greeting card from Belarusians to other nations with their own hands. The Museum New Year ended with international tea drinking and a sweet table.
A NEW YEAR FOR THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD
The children of the school camp visited the school museum of Friendship of Peoples and took part in the entertainment event "New Year among the peoples of the world." The students got acquainted with the customs and traditions of celebrating the New Year among different nations, told about their New Year's celebration, and also took part in a master class on making a Christmas tree from a napkin. This event teaches respect for the traditions of other nations, friendly attitude towards each other.
EXCURSION FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE SEMINAR
French teachers of Leninsky, Oktyabrsky, Volkovysky, Lida, Novogrudok, Oshmyany and Smorgon districts of Grodno region took part in the seminar on the topic “Teaching the perception and understanding of foreign language speech by ear”, which was held at the Regional Resource Center for French. During the event, they visited the Museum of Friendship of Peoples and took part in the excursion "Belarus - nation, yakaya yadnae".
A DAY AT THE MUSEUM
Grodno - a city that unites
Members of the Museum Council have created a poster on the theme “Grodno is a city that unites”. Our small homeland - Grodno - is a city at the crossroads of different cultures. Our city is multinational.
The pages of the poster are dedicated to Poles and Latvians, their national traits, as well as traditions and interesting facts.
MUSEUM LESSON "BELARUSIAN SONGS"
The museum hosted a museum lesson on "Belarus of Song". Sixth-graders were happy to present folk and literary songs. "Kupalinka" and "Rechanka" sounded in the museum. Alyaksandr Svitich performed the song “Cranes fly in Polesie” (a poem by Ales Staver) on his own, which aroused the admiration of his classmates. With a good mood and positive thoughts, the students left the lesson.
Dzyady ... what you know?
November 2 - Dzyady - commemoration of ancestors. On this day it is customary to come to the burial places of relatives, clean graves, and arrange a dinner in memory of relatives.

GUESTS FROM OCTOBER DISTRICT
Pupils of the 2nd "E" class of the Grodno Secondary School visited the Museum of Friendship of Peoples and traveled to the peoples of Belarus. After the tour, young visitors took part in a quiz. The most attentive listener received a gift from the museum. The second-graders also joined the museum action "A Gift for a Small Motherland".
VISITING AUTUMN
The Friendship of Peoples Museum hosted an event "Visiting Autumn" for students who attend school camp during the autumn holidays. During the meeting, the children got acquainted with the reflection of autumn phenomena in the folk calendar, learned in an interesting way about the customs, rituals, holidays (Rich, Exaltation, Protection) of the Belarusian people, were able to participate in games, make a gift in autumn and put it in the basket.
OPENING OF THE "JEWS" EXPOSITION
On October 20, our school history and local history museum of Friendship of Peoples expanded and replenished with one more exposition called "Jews". The new exposition includes about 20 Jewish exhibits. These are the Torah Scroll, kipa, keara (plate for Passover), Hanukkah menorah, talit (cape) and others. The event was attended by guests of honor - director of the Grodno Jewish community house "Menorah" Elena Nikolayevna Kutsevich, heads of school museums.
Participants were able to get to know more about Jewish culture, taste Jewish national dishes - matzah and challah with honey, listen to the flute - one of the favorite Jewish instruments.
During the event, the results of the quiz "Visiting the Jews" were summed up, diplomas and sweet prizes were awarded to the winners. For those who wish, the guides of the museum conducted an excursion entitled “Belarus - a friendly family of peoples”.

From 10.10. Until October 18, 2018, a quiz "Visiting the Jews" was held on the website of the School of Peoples' Friendship Museum among students of grades 5-11 of our school.

VETERANS OF PEDAGOGICAL LABOR
On the eve of the Teacher's Day holiday, veterans of pedagogical work who had worked at the school earlier visited the school museum of Peoples' Friendship. They were pleasantly surprised by the museum's reincarnation. They liked the aesthetic design, soulfulness, as well as the excursion on the topic “Travel to the peoples of Belarus”.
INTRODUCING NEW EXHIBITS
Over the summer, the exposition of the Peoples' Friendship Museum has been replenished with new exhibits. Their presentation took place in the museum. Sixth graders enthusiastically examined German objects: a beer stand, an Alpine cap. The Montenegrin circle introduced the students to the sights of Montenegro. A magnet and a pendant with the symbols of the XII Republican Festival of National Cultures have become an addition to the stand “We are united by Grodno”.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FAVORITE CITY"
September 15 marks 890 years of our native and beloved city of Grodno. On the eve of the holiday, a competition and entertainment program "Happy birthday, beloved city!" Participants of the event had to go through 9 stages: a blitz poll, solve a crossword puzzle, find out the landmark of the city from a drawing, choose the fourth "extra" one, tell true or false, answer the cube questions, fight in a poetic battle, guess riddles, add pictures. For each stage passed, the children received a letter or number, from which they were able to add the inscription “Grodno 890”.
Our beloved city, our small homeland, happy birthday to you! Prosper and develop, transform and become better every day!
